The heart of Snowmass Village is tucked high in the Brush Creek Valley and home to the second largest ski mountain in Colorado. Snowmass Mountain offers 150 miles of trails on 3,332 acres and a vertical rise of 4,406 feet. Surrounded by the spectacularly scenic Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, Snowmass also connects to the Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System, a network of more than 60 miles of free groomed trails. It’s no coincidence that part of its name is synonymous with “magnitude” and “substance.”

Within this 25-square-mile town there are over forty miles of hiking and biking trails. To name but a few - Snowmass Bike Park, Rim Trail, Sky Mountain Park, Government Trail, the Divide Trail.

Snowmass Village has one of the best summer resort music scenes in the state with the Jazz Aspen Labor Day Festival and the Snowmass Free Concert Series held weekly in the summer on the ski hill.

Steeped in ranching history, the Snowmass Rodeo continues this tradition. Enjoy a Western BBQ followed by an event filled rodeo, plus events for kids, bring the West to life.

Snowmass Village is not your typical mountain town. One need only glimpse the grand splendor of Mt. Things to do in Snowmass Village, Colorado

Snowmass Mountain - Snowmass has 3,342 skiable acres and 98 trails for all abilities. Larger than the three other mountains combined, Snowmass offers burly steeps, inviting glades, and endless bumps, jumps, and groomers. You’ll be challenged to ski it all in a week—or a full season.

Nordic ski, skate ski and snowshoe at the Snowmass Golf Course track. Access is free and rentals are available.

The Snowmass Club is host to a magnificent Jim Engh traditional Irish links signature course. The 18 hole championship design has stunning panoramic vistas and incorporates the highest standard of excellence with impeccably maintained fairways and greens, challenging elevation changes and bunkers.

The Snowmass Bike Park travels close to 3,000 feet from the top of the Elk Camp Chairlift to Snowmass Base Village. It has 25 miles of purpose-built, diverse trails—from beginner-friendly and flowing singletrack to adrenaline-inducing downhill runs!

Sky Mountain Park and the Government Trail are very popular with mountain bikers.

For cyclists, the Brush Creek Trail connects Snowmass Village to the Rio Grande Trail. Head east to Aspen or west to Basalt.

Bus Service

RFTA provides free and frequent service within Aspen and Snowmass, as well as to the airport, the Aspen Business Center, all four ski areas and down-valley.
